Quickstart: first private swap

From a screened deposit to a private swap and its Proof of Execution, in the order you will see it in the app.

This is the intended flow in the Zerohook app. Screens may change before launch.

1. Deposit into your shielded balance

Deposit funds into your shielded balance. The deposit is screened once through Privacy Pools' Association Set Provider. This is the only point where the source of funds is checked. See Clean in, private out.

While funds sit in the shielded balance, they can earn Aave lending yield inside the pool. See Privacy that pays.

2. Pick the trade

Choose the token you sell and the token you buy. Any token tradable on Uniswap can be swapped privately. See Private swap.

3. Read the quote

Before you sign, the app shows:

  • the route, split across Uniswap v3, v4 and Aggregator Hook venues,
  • price impact,
  • the guaranteed minimum you receive, with slippage capped (Hard limits),
  • the Leak score: anything that could link this trade back to you.

The route has already been simulated against the live chain, and every router, hook and pool in it has been checked against its pinned code. A route that would fail never reaches your wallet.

4. Sign

When you sign, Zerohook:

  1. generates a single-use stealth wallet,
  2. funds it through the gasless relayer,
  3. executes the swap through the Uniswap Universal Router,
  4. returns the output to your shielded balance (Auto-return).

Large amounts can be split into irregular sizes and spread over time. See Amount splitter and Timing jitter.

5. Check the result

Open the trade's Proof of Execution page. It compares what you got with the best Uniswap-pools-only route at the same block.

Fees

$ZHOOK holders trade at zero fee. See Zero-fee tier.
