FAQ
Short answers to the questions a trader asks first.
Is Zerohook live?
No. These docs describe the pre-launch design.
What is the $ZHOOK contract address?
Not published yet. Treat any address you see elsewhere as unverified.
Do I need $ZHOOK to trade?
No. $ZHOOK unlocks the zero-fee tier. Without it you pay the Zerohook swap fee.
Does Zerohook hide my trades?
It hides that they are yours. Each trade is still public on-chain. See Security & threat model.
Can Zerohook freeze my funds?
Every user keeps a public ragequit exit that needs no one's permission.
Why is there screening?
Zerohook's principle: where money comes from is a fair question, what you do with it afterwards is yours. Deposits are screened once through Privacy Pools' Association Set Provider. See Clean in, private out.
Who can see my full activity?
Only you can generate a selective disclosure export.
Is it audited?
No audit has happened yet.
What yield do idle balances earn?
Aave lending yield, which moves with market rates. No rate is promised. Deployment on Robinhood Chain is still being verified on-chain. See Privacy that pays.
Can I trade publicly?
Yes, as a deliberate choice. See Private by default.
Is FHE live?
No. The FHE-ready order engine is a ROADMAP item and depends on FHE coprocessing reaching Robinhood Chain.
How is Zerohook different from a DEX aggregator?
Aggregators such as 1inch, Odos and Uniswap's own routing route for best price from your own wallet. Zerohook routes the same way, but every trade leaves from an unlinkable wallet.
How is it different from Railgun or Privacy Pools?
Shielded pools give private balances and transfers. Zerohook builds on Privacy Pools v2 and adds best-price trading, orders, agents and payouts on top.
What about Aztec, Zama or Fhenix?
They work on privacy at the chain or VM level. Zerohook works on Robinhood Chain and is built to adopt FHE orders when coprocessing arrives there.
