Whitepaper

The Zerohook whitepaper, the source of truth for everything in these docs.

Status

Draft v1 (2026-10-25). Pre-launch. Numbers that are not set yet (contract address, supply, fee levels, tier threshold) are left out rather than guessed; they are added here when published.

Name

Zerohook, zerohook.trade, ticker $ZHOOK

Contract

Published at launch on zerohook.trade, the docs and the app.

Chain

Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663).

Short description

Zero trace. Every pool. One swap. Private-by-default trading on Robinhood Chain, with best-price routing through Uniswap's Aggregator Hooks and every trade executed from a wallet that can't be linked to yours.

Tagline

The market sees the trades, never the trader.

USP

Private by default, not by opt-in: best-price execution across every hooked pool on Robinhood Chain, every trade from an unlinkable wallet, screened at entry, private after, and earning while idle.

Description

The problem

Privacy is the defining narrative of this cycle: faster shielded chains, compliant privacy pools, fully homomorphic encryption going live, and wallets moving toward privacy by default. Trading has not caught up. On Robinhood Chain every swap still comes from a wallet anyone can follow, so position size, entries and exits are public the moment they land, and copy-trade bots and watchlists act on them.

What Zerohook does

Zerohook brings privacy to trading on Robinhood Chain. Every swap is routed across Uniswap v3, v4 and every Aggregator Hook venue, split for the best price, simulated before signing and settled in one transaction, then executed from a single-use wallet that can't be traced back to the trader. The same engine powers private payouts, private AI agents that trade without exposing their owner's wallet, and limit, take-profit, stop-loss and DCA orders that fire from fresh wallets.

How it works

Balances sit in a shielded pool built on Privacy Pools v2, so users join one large anonymity set from day one, and idle funds keep earning Aave lending yield inside the pool. For each trade, Zerohook generates a single-use stealth wallet, funds it through a gasless relayer, routes the swap through the Uniswap Universal Router and returns the output to the shielded balance. Amount splitting, timing jitter and private RPC routing remove the patterns that usually link transactions back to one person. Every router, hook and pool is checked against its known code before quoting, and every route is simulated against the live chain before it reaches the wallet.

Why trust it

Zerohook follows a simple principle: where money comes from is a fair question, what you do with it afterwards is yours. Funds are screened once at the door through Privacy Pools' Association Set Provider, and from then on every trade, position and order stays private. Every user keeps a public ragequit exit that needs no one's permission, and only the user can generate a selective disclosure export. Execution quality is public: each trade gets a Proof of Execution page measured against the best Uniswap-pools-only route at the same block. No audit has happened yet.

Roadmap, not live at launch

FHE-encrypted order triggers depend on FHE coprocessing reaching Robinhood Chain. Post-quantum proofs for shielded notes depend on those proof systems becoming production-ready. Both are designed for, not shipped.

Business model

A small fee on swaps routed through Zerohook, integrator volume through the Swap API, and a share of integrator fees agreed with each partner. $ZHOOK holders trade at zero fee.

The token

$ZHOOK unlocks the zero-fee tier, read from the trading wallet with nothing to stake or lock. No staking, no emissions. Contract address, supply and the holding threshold for the zero-fee tier are published at launch.

Utilities

Execution

  1. Best-price swaps: split across Uniswap v3, v4 and every Aggregator Hook venue, settled in one transaction through the Uniswap Universal Router.
  2. Route simulation: every route is simulated against the live chain before signing, so a failing route never reaches the wallet.
  3. Pinned contracts: every router, hook and pool is checked against its known code before quoting.
  4. Hard limits: capped slippage, price impact shown upfront, and a guaranteed minimum received.
  5. Limit orders: execute at the target price across every venue.
  6. Private swap: for any token tradable on Uniswap.
  7. Private send: to any address from the shielded balance, with no on-chain link between sender and receiver.

Transparency

  1. Hook Explorer: a live map of every Aggregator Hook pool on the chain, what it wraps, how deep it is and what flows through it.
  2. Proof of Execution: each trade measured against the best Uniswap-pools-only route at the same block, with a public proof page linked to the transaction.
  3. Live chain dashboard: hook pools mapped, outside liquidity wrapped, 24h volume through hooks, UNI burn contribution, venues and tradable tokens.

Holders and builders

  1. Zero-fee tier: for $ZHOOK holders, read from the trading wallet with nothing to stake or lock.
  2. Swap API: one HTTP call returns the best route and ready-to-sign calldata, no SDK needed.
  3. Integrator fee: up to 0.5%, paid on-chain to the partner's address in the same transaction.
  4. MCP server: AI agents can quote and trade through the same engine.
  5. Built on Zerohook: a showcase for projects using the API.

Privacy layer

  1. Private by default: every swap runs through the shielded flow, with public trades available as a deliberate choice.
  2. Shielded balance: built on Privacy Pools v2, so users join one large anonymity set from day one.
  3. Privacy that pays: idle shielded balances earn Aave lending yield inside Privacy Pools v2 without leaving the pool.
  4. One-tap switch: between public and private balances.
  5. Stealth wallets: a single-use wallet generated for every trade and never reused.
  6. Gasless relayer funding: a new wallet never needs ETH from a traceable source.
  7. Auto-return: swap output goes back to the shielded balance after each trade.
  8. Amount splitter: breaks deposits, withdrawals and buys into irregular sizes so they can't be matched.
  9. Timing jitter: spreads related transactions apart to defeat timing analysis.
  10. Private RPC routing: the user's IP and node fingerprint never touch public endpoints.
  11. Ghost positions: open positions held across several unlinked wallets, shown as one portfolio only inside the app.
  12. Stealth orders: take-profit, stop-loss and DCA that fire from fresh wallets.
  13. FHE-ready order engine (roadmap): limit, take-profit and stop-loss triggers designed to run encrypted on-chain through FHE coprocessing as it expands to Robinhood Chain.
  14. Stock Token mode: buy tokenized stocks without exposing portfolio size on-chain.
  15. Private agent mode: AI agents trade through stealth wallets under spending policies, so neither the agent, the model provider nor the chain learns the owner's main wallet.
  16. Private payouts: send USDG to teams, contributors and partners in one batch with no public link between payer and recipients.
  17. Leak score: a pre-trade check that flags anything that could link a trade back to the user.
  18. Tracker check: shows whether the user's past public wallets are already followed by copy-trade bots or watchlists.
  19. Shielded share tracker: a public dashboard of how much Zerohook volume ran privately.
  20. Private receive link: accept funds into the shielded balance without sharing a wallet address.
  21. Wallet-native privacy SDK: wallets building toward default privacy, including those in the Ethereum Foundation's Kohaku effort, can plug in Zerohook trading.
  22. Post-quantum roadmap: a migration path for shielded notes to post-quantum proof systems as they become production-ready, so today's private trades stay private tomorrow.
  23. Selective disclosure export: for taxes or audits, generated only by the user.
  24. Clean in, private out: deposits screened once through Privacy Pools' Association Set Provider, with a public ragequit exit that needs no one's permission.

Competitors

  • DEX aggregators (1inch, Odos, Uniswap's own routing): best-price routing from the trader's own wallet. Zerohook routes the same way but every trade leaves from an unlinkable wallet.
  • Shielded pools (Railgun, Privacy Pools by 0xbow): private balances and transfers. Zerohook builds on Privacy Pools v2 and adds best-price trading, orders, agents and payouts on top.
  • Private chains and FHE projects (Aztec, Zama, Fhenix): privacy at the chain or VM level. Zerohook works on Robinhood Chain today and is built to adopt FHE orders when coprocessing arrives there.
